Rollers are shortly built and are related to the cuckoo roller. Africa with 11-12 species of rollers has more rollers than any other continent. Asia has only a few rollers. The Indian or blue roller ranges from eastern Arabia to Indo-China and the roller are rich in color. The coraciidae is confined to the old world and has more species than the tropics and sub-tropics than the temperate regions.
